‘Not appropriate’: Louise Redknapp was criticised by Strictly Come Dancing viewers on Thursday for swearing during her performance on spin-off It Takes Two
It is no wonder Louise chose to perform the track on It Takes Two, as it was her biggest hit – reaching number three in the UK chart back in 2000.
However the performance, which aired on BBC Two before 7pm, caused a stir among fans on Twitter, as it contained the lyrics: ‘Stop your b****ing, cause you’re so sad, b****ing behind my back, honey I don’t need that.’
One disgruntled viewer wrote: ‘Not sure I’m happy about my 8 year old singing stop your b****ing at the top of her voice! Thanks #ItTakesTwo not appropriate for before 7pm’
While another added: ‘Family programme? Not today! Louise Redknapp singing lyrics with b**ch every 5 seconds. Time to find the remote control.’
Further viewers agreed, writing furiously: ‘#ItTakesTwo two words. B****ing. Watershed’ and ‘Don’t particularly think the term ‘b****ing’ in the context used was appropriate for that time of evening….. young impressionable peeps watching…’
Another saw the funny side, chiming in: ‘You can’t say b****in at 6.55pm in the evening on live tv ha ha! Is that a secret message for someone?’
Yet, a number of other fans were not fazed by the swear word – and instead took to the site to praise Louise’s winning performance.
One fan wrote: ‘Wow! Just amazing did @LouiseRedknapp look on #ItTakesTwo ?! Great to hear #2Faced again. Love that song!’
While another enthused: ‘Let’s make 2 Faced by @louiseredknapp Christmas no. 1. Forgot how amazing that song is!!’
Defiant: Louise was also spotted wearing her wedding ring on the show – amid claims she and husband Jamie are preparing to spend ‘one final family Christmas ‘ together
Other fans questioned why such a fuss was made about the lyrics, adding: ‘What’s wrong with people? I say b***h on a daily basis’ and ‘Why is everyone b***hing about “b****ing”? I don’t see why it’s so taboo at this time.’
Louise was also spotted wearing her wedding ring as she belted out her famous hit – amid claims she and husband Jamie are preparing to spend ‘one final family Christmas‘ together with their two sons.
The mother-of-two put on a sizzling display in a saucy semi-sheer lace leotard, which plunged into a deep V neckline to give a glimpse of her cleavage to all.

Keeping the look sophisticated, Louise then layered a sleek blazer on top, complete with white lapels, as she performed her chart-topping single.
Catching the most attention however was the wedding ring on her left hand, in the wake of her recent ‘split’ from husband of nineteen years, Jamie.
While Louise continued to wear her ring, the former footballer was seen without his only twenty four hours earlier.
The former footballer, 44, cut a dapper figure as he ditched the piece of jewellery while attending the Charge II – a fundraiser boxing gala held at Lindley Hall.

As he stepped onto the red carpet, the father-of-two seemed to be in better spirits and smiled for the cameras – but obscured his ring finger by putting his left hand in the pocket.
His outing comes amid claims he and Louise will enjoy Christmas together as they make the final decision about their marriage, according to Woman magazine.

The news came after it was recently claimed she had finally filed for divorce from her husband Jamie, after weeks of living apart.
But Louise Redknapp continued to wear her wedding ring on Tuesday, as she ran a few errands in London amid her hectic performance run in Cabaret.
The former Eternal singer, 43, was spotted with the band on her finger as she headed out in the city – despite claims she has filed the official paperwork on her divorce from the footballer, 44.

The Eternal singer’s marital woes have been well-publicised, but insiders told The Sun last week she is finally set to seal the deal.
Louise has reportedly decided their marriage cannot be saved due to his resistance to her renewed stint in the limelight – claims he is said to be denying furiously.
Jamie’s outing comes after Karen reportedly told him to ‘keep his wife Louise away from her husband Kevin’ during a heated phone call.
According to The Sun, a source close to Karen has claimed that Jamie was left ‘concerned’ by Louise and Kevin’s close relationship and had reached out to Karen without his wife’s knowledge.
They claim the Strictly Come Dancing professional, 35, had been ‘very upset’ at the time of the call and had told Jamie to ‘try and keep Louise’ away from Kevin, accusing the former singer of ‘ruining’ her marriage.
After becoming aware of Louise ‘texting’ Kevin, Jamie reportedly decided to reach out to Karen, with the source claiming: ‘He made the decision to call Karen without Louise’s knowledge, which was a very hard thing for him to do.
‘He asked Karen if he thought their partners were having an affair.
‘Karen was very upset at the time and that’s when she asked Jamie to try and keep Louise away from Kevin.’
The source added that ’emotions had been running high’, while another source deemed close to Louise claimed the Naked singer had been left ‘furious’ by husband Jamie’s actions, as she had been friends with Karen and the accusations had made things between them ‘unnecessarily uncomfortable’.
